Lung Cancer Awareness Scholarship Terms and Conditions

The NetPEO Lung Cancer Awareness Scholarship is open to all high school students in the United States who:

• Are on track to graduate by the summer of 2022.
• Plan to enroll in an accredited U.S. college or university in the Fall of 2022.

NetPEO will form a committee to consider all qualified applicants and their essays. This committee will determine the winner of the $2,500 Lung Cancer Awareness Scholarship within 60 days following the submission deadline. The decision made by the NetPEO selection committee will be final.

Any claims made in your essay may be subject to verification if you are selected as the winner of the Lung Cancer Awareness Scholarship. NetPEO may request additional documentation to serve as proof of the validity of said claims.

If any technical issues interfere with the timely submission of your Lung Cancer Awareness Scholarship application, NetPEO will not extend the deadline and will not be held responsible for these issues.

Non-Discrimination Statement

A selection committee appointed by NetPEO will choose the winner of the Lung Cancer Awareness Scholarship. The selection committee will not be influenced by an applicant’s race, sexual orientation, gender, national origin, religion, disability, or status in any other legally protected group when determining the winner.

The selection of the scholarship winner will be based solely on the applicants’ fulfillment of application requirements and the selection committee’s consideration of the submitted applications and essays.

Anyone who meets the following conditions is NOT eligible to apply: 

1. Employees or children of employees of NetPEO

2. Past recipients of the Lung Cancer Awareness Scholarship

3. Applicants who are unable/unwilling to be interviewed by a representative of NetPEO if he/she were to be awarded the scholarship. 

4. Applicants who submit the same essay for multiple scholarships

Privacy Statement

Any personal information that applicants submit to NetPEO when applying for the Lung Cancer Awareness Scholarship will not be distributed, sold, or in any way shared with the public or third party.

This information will only be utilized to determine eligibility for this scholarship, and NetPEO will not retain private information after the scholarship winner has been determined.

NetPEO reserves the right to publish the name of the Lung Cancer Awareness Scholarship winner on the NetPEO website and/or on other public media outlets.

Notification of Application Status

All applications must be received by December 15, 2022, and no additional applications will be accepted after that time. The selection committee will read all applications and essays submitted on time and deliberate for a period of approximately 30 to 60 days after the deadline.

The winner will be notified within 60 days after the submission deadline. All applicants will be notified of their application status after the winner is announced.
